Sifu David McKenzie is a senior instructor at The Wing Chun School, and started his Martial Arts training in the Art of Judo at the age of 11. Sifu David only trained in Judo for a short period time but it was enough for him to get a taste for Martial Arts. Sifu David later enrolled in a local Tae Kwon Do club with his younger brother Sifu Garry McKenzie. Sifu David and his brother trained in the Korean Art of Tae Kwon Do for some years, unfortunately the resident Sensei relocated the class and this meant that Sifu David and his brother could not continue their training in Tae Kwon Do.

Sifu David and his brother enrolled at the Wing Chun Martial Academy in 1982, and trained at the academy for many years. Sifu David left the Academy but continued to train with his brother Sifu Garry McKenzie who was by now a Senior Instructor at the Wing Chun Martial Academy.

The Wing Chun School and Headquarters was founded in 1989 under the tutelage of Sifu Garry McKenzie. Sifu David trained and instructed on many occasions at the headquarters during the early years. In 1991, Sifu David opened the first branch of the Wing Chun School in Leyton, East London.
