Sifu Shawn-Abdullah's first introduction to martial arts was in 1995 when he studied Iron Monkey for 3 years. He then studied Wing Chun for 18 months with Sifu Basil.
In 2001 he began studying Wing Chun under Sifu Garry. Sifu Shawn-Abdullah now runs classes in Islington, London and also assists at The Wing Chun School (TWCS) HQ in Hackney, London.
