Stephen Sie teaches at The Third Space gym, which is located just off of Piccadilly Circus in Central London. His first introduction to martial arts was at school in the form of Judo where he was appointed captain of the school team. In 1983 he took up Wing Chun and has studied numerous styles; though his teachings are now exclusively based on the Wing Chun system.

In 1995 he had the good fortune to be introduced to Sifu Garry McKenzie and has trained with him since. Stephen has travelled and assisted in the Norwegian branches of the school as well as in Hong Kong and where he has met with Grand Masters Wan Kam Leung, Tsui Seung Tin, Ip Chun and Si Gung, Ip Ching.

In November 2002, Stephen performed with Sifu Garry and others at the Grand Opening of the Ip Man Tong ( Hall Museum ), in Fatsan, China. He has appeared in two episodes of the Channel 5 show 'Combat Club'; in one playing the late Grandmaster Ip Man.
