I spent much of my childhood watching martial arts movies and it is through watching Bruce Lee and other martial artists I was inspired to take up Wing Chun. In 1997, I was introduced to Simon Lau and I trained under him for a short period of time until I had to stop due to other commitments. Regardless, I maintained my love of Wing Chun.

In 2011, I was introduced to Sifu Garry McKenzie by my close friend David Tsan who is also an instructor under The Wing Chun School. I began training under Sifu Garry McKenzie both at the Hackney HQ and privately.

I commenced my instructor’s apprenticeship along with assisting at The Wing Chun School HQ, Ilford branch and Peckham branch. I also provide support to some of my other fellow kung fu brothers who have schools.

I had the opportunity to visit Norway to participate and assist in a student’s seminar conducted by my Sifu in March 2019.

I also had the opportunity to participate and assist in seminars conducted by my Sifu at the UK Wing Chun Gatherings.

I visited Hong Kong and was fortunate to meet a number of Sifus and Grandmasters including Sifu John Wong Hong Chung, Sifu Alan Chan, Sifu Albert Keung, Sifu Donald Mac, Sifu Dennis Lee and Sifu Buick Yip.

At present I am one of the senior assistant instructors and responsible for the general upkeep of the HQ.

I have been granted permission, by my Sifu, to teach both children and adults.

I currently teach at my own schools, Greenwich Branch, Canada Water Branch and Stratford Branch, and provide private tuition.
